Food & drinkaround Alice Springs

Restaurants in Alice Springs reflect the wild bush tucker of Central Australia and celebrate the landscapes and culture with colour and flair.

Feel like emu tonight? Or maybe a crocodile steak? Alice Springs is the place to find some of outback Australia’s most exotic and authentic cuisine.

From sophisticated town restaurants to al fresco dining amongst the beautiful West MacDonnell Ranges, there is a range of restaurants and cafes to cater for all tastes.

It’s not just about local fare either. Enjoy award-winning Asian-inspired dining and great pizza, or taste the famous Northern Territory barramundi at a uniquely Red Centre seafood restaurant.

Good traditions

For the true outback eating experience choose from menus designed by local chefs using traditional native fruits, berries and game meat. Delve into a mix of native and contemporary dishes that will bring out the unique flavours of the local produce.

Despite the remote location, there’s no reason you can’t pair the flavours of the great Australian outback with a refreshing sauvignon blanc or rich shiraz. Like all Australian cities, there is a wide array of quality wines available from some of the country’s leading wine growing regions.
