Enter your photographic masterpieces of the Outback to compete with other amateur snappers, and get the chance to see the full CWA Art Collection.
The Tennant Creek Country Women’s Association (CWA) Art Award was at one time the longest running art competition in the Northern Territory. The inaugural Art Award was held in 1977.
The CWA Photographic Competition is where amateur photographers can compete for a small prize purse. The public are invited to view the entries and participate in the Viewers Choice Award on opening night.
The highlight of the five-day display will be the exhibition of the full Tennant Creek CWA Art Collection consisting of 100 works of art including paintings, ceramics, silk screen, etchings, pottery, photography and metal work. The Collection provides a social commentary on the history of Tennant Creek over the last three decades and this is the first time the whole collection has been on display.
