Browse the markets for a bargain every Friday night in the dry season, sampling exotic foods, jewellery, arts and craft, to the tune of local buskers.

Join the fun, be entertained and grab a bargain.

Happening every Friday evening between May and October, the Palmerston and Rural Markets provide a great evening of family entertainment, exotic foods, jewellery, arts and craft, plants, local bands and buskers and much more. There are in excess of 160 stalls in a new and vibrant central business district setting, with plenty of space for festive activities. The markets are home of the Palmerston and Rural Markets Community and Schools Talent Competitions. Watch the children dance with the clowns to popular tunes and listen as the local disc jockey spins discs catering to all ages.

Come and roam the markets, experiencing the local flavour or marvel at the thousands of lorikeets in the trees at sunset.
