Snap up Aboriginal arts and crafts after viewing the Desert Mob exhibition, browsing works from different art centres and chatting to the artists.
Desert Mob MarketPlace is presented in association with the annual Desert Mob Exhibition, which is held in Alice Springs in September every year and a great chance to view and buy Central Australian artwork.
Desert Mob draws together Aboriginal art centres in Central Australia to display a wide variety of art and crafts, with artists and art centre managers on hand to sell, inform and inspire.
Desert Mob MarketPlace is held at the Araluen Art Centre foyer, grounds and Witchetty's Artspace, and showcases paintings, ceramics, prints and textile works. This popular event is operated in association with Desart and the Alice Desert Festival and attracts well over 1,000 visitors, so get there early.
Please note entry to MarketPlace is free of charge, however entry fees apply to the exhibition held in the Araluen Art Centre Galleries. The Desert Mob MarketPlace is open from 10am to 2pm.
